CFL is a fully accredited campsite. We offer a quality camping experience. Our prices are unbeatable without compromising quality. CFL is perfect for all age groups, with excellent facilities and services. We guarantee sole occupancy (one school group at a time - a minimum 35 campers to be paid for per camp. Maximum capacity is 85 students plus 10 teachers).

Camping at CFL is a fun and exciting opportunity for students to explore the outdoors and live away from home for a few days. It's a rewarding and enriching experience for students. It gives them an opportunity to develop new skills and overcome challenges, in a supportive and welcoming environment. Students will gain outdoor experience, and enhance their communication skills, self esteem and team building skills, and meet new friends. They'll set and achieve new goals and embrace the natural environment in a safe and sustainable way.

CFL promotes environmental sustainability and welcomes all teachers and students. Our buildings are purposely designed to make campsite supervision easy. CFL encourages team work, initiative and responsibility. It is an excellent location for students to grow and develop leadership skills.

COASTAL FOREST LODGE IS A FULLY ACCREDITED CAMPSITE

Design, Layout & Facilities

Coastal Forest Lodge has been purpose designed and built for school groups and began operating in 2003.

		The layout offers ease of supervision
		The layout includes a comfortable and central teachers retreat room (tea/coffee/ TV).
		The cabins are located within a safe alcove area. They're clearly visible from the teachers retreat / staff room. Symmetrical in layout.
		All the cabins have en suites.
		A central and large recreation hall is available for passive indoor activities such as meetings, concerts, disco's, bushdancing, etc. Students must be supervised at all times please.
		The dining room is light and bright with a separate wash up scullery.
		There is extensive under cover decking area and verandahs.

Location & Surroundings

		Easy travelling distance from Melbourne (1.5hrs) and surrounding areas - Mornington Peninsula, Ballarat & Geelong.
		Peaceful bush setting only 5 mins from town and surf beaches, Anglesea (6kms) & Torquay (10kms).
		Beautiful property (196 acres) with landscaped gardens and large natural bushland areas with bushwalks, dams for yabbying & abundant wildlife (KANGAROOS GALORE!!!).

Activities / Programs

Coastal Forest Lodge has a terrific selection of activities both onsite (no additional cost) and offsite (specialised activites are an additional cost).

Offsite specialised activities:

surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, surf rescue skills, mountain bike riding, estuary discoveries, lighthouse tours, rockpool rambles, horse riding, bushwalks, bushdancing and more.

Onsite activities:

The Eagles Nest bushwalk, low ropes course, hut building, initiative activities, archery, mini golf, yabbying, orienteering, photo trail, bush cooking, bush craft, postcard writing, environmental walk, night walk, and a friendly petting paddock.

All onsite activities are low risk. They are well designed, set-up and ready to use and user friendly (easy to lead - all onsite activities are teacher/leader lead).

CFL has a basketball / tennis court, four square, volleyball, cricket pitch, sand pit, soccer goals and plenty of space!

		Coastal Forest Lodge is a perfect base for groups wishing to use the local area and its attractions or the expertise of local 'Specialised Activity Providers' such Ecologic (environmental programs), Go Ride a Wave (surfing, kayaking, lifeguarding, etc.), SeaEarth Adventures (surfing, kayaking, lifeguarding, etc.), GORATS (mountain bike riding and canoeing) and Blazing Saddles (beach horse rides). *FOR FULLY CATERED CAMPS - CFL PROVIDES COMPLIMENTARY TRANSPORT TO OFFSITE ACTIVITIES - (1 TWO-WAY BUS TRIP PER STUDENT FROM CAMP TO ANGLESEA AND RETURN).*
		Groups can use Coastal Forest Lodge activities or design and run a program of their own e.g. retreat
		Helpful advice, suggestions and assistance is always available
		An extensive Teachers/Leaders Information Booklet (general information, camp layout and maps, camp rules, safety and emergency numbers, activity ideas, sample camp activity booklet etc.) and safety breifing is provided.

Catering

Excellent and healthy home cooked meals. QUALITY MEALS!!!

A quality catering service is provided. This includes a balance of healthy and nutritious meals sourced from local suppliers. The menu is designed to suit the needs and program of your group.

Morning tea and afternoon tea are complimentary

Offsite picnic lunches are available!

***CFL AIMS TO BE A NUT FREE CAMP***

We strongly discourage groups, staff and students from bringing nuts and foods containing peanuts and tree nuts to camp. We work with guests or their parents / guardians to ensure that the menu is suitable and that risk is minimised. The same applies with other allergies too , such as anaphylaxis, coeliac disease, gluten or lactose intolerances, etc.
