Design, Layout & Facilities

Coastal Forest Lodge has been purpose designed and built for school groups and began operating in 2003.
     The layout offers ease of supervision - very important!
     The layout includes a comfortable and central Teachers Retreat (tea/coffee/ TV).
     The cabins are located around an alcove and clearly visible from the Teachers Retreat.
     All the cabins have ensuites.
     A central large Recreation Hall is available for passive indoor activities such as meetings, concerts, dances etc. Students must be supervised at all times.
     The Dining Room is light and bright with a separate wash up scullery.
     There is extensive under cover decking area & verandahs.

Location & Surroundings

     Easy travelling distance from Melbourne and surrounds, Mornington Peninsula, Ballarat and Geelong.
     Peaceful bush setting but still close to Anglesea (5.5ks) and Torquay (10ks).
     Beautiful property (200 acres) with landscaped gardens around the campsite and large bushland areas with walks, dams and abundant wildlife ( MANY KANGAROOS!!!).

Activities / Programs

Coastal Forest Lodge has a terrific selection of activities onsite. These are set up and easy to lead such as archery, petting paddock, yabbying, orienteering courses, photo trail, mini-golf, low ropes course, environmental walks, bush shelters, initiative activities, basketball court, volleyball, cricket pitch etc. See activities page or email info@coastalforestlodge.com.au for camp information booklets.
     Coastal Forest Lodge is a perfect base for groups wishing to use the local area and its attractions or the expertise of local activity / program providers such ECO LOGIC (environmental programs), GORATS (mountain bike riding/canoeing) and Go Ride a Wave (surfing etc).
     Groups can use Coastal Forest Lodge activities or design and run a program of their own eg. Retreat
     Helpful advice / suggestions / assistance is always available at anytime!
     An extensive Teachers Booklet (general information, camp layout and maps, camp rules, safety and emergency numbers, activity ideas, sample camp booklet pages etc.) is provided.

Catering

Excellent & healthy home cooked meals. QUALITY MEALS!!!
A quality catering service is provided. This includes a balance of healthy & nutritious meals sourced from local suppliers. Morning tea and afternoon tea are complimentary. The menu is designed to suit the needs and program of your group.
